The enchantment of hand-crafting

I am not used to writing non-academic prose in English, but might as well try.
There is a hidden charm to writing a website using only HTML and a text editor -- no Jekyll, no Astro, just your bare fingers. It is very similar to the enchanting experience of writing a physical lab notebook, of graphing something with your own code, of drawing with crayons and your non-dominant hand. If I could put it into words, it would be seeing an idea grow, on your terms only and having the power necessary to change course every time you like.
Come again, tools like Jekyll make writing a website faster and
more stable -- and for people like developers, who code just about
everything, it must alleviate the very frequent frustration of
watching your code not work as you intended. However, I found the charm
so endearing this whole website is "hand-crafted" and, although it
frustrated me to see display: inline-block;
failing
me for the fiftieth time, it has been one of the most gratifying
journeys of my life.
As a trivia, I used to make websites this way, around 10 years ago. I didn't revisit their styles after making them, so they would stay static, pale, but as a realization of my idea of "how a website should like" if it expresses my personality. In this case, this website is a labor of love, but of identity too. I will revisit this many times.
For now, I will focus on making the rest of the sections in the site. Most of them are placeholders like "\(\mathrm{d}X\) ...". Before sharing this website to my colleagues, these sections should be complete.
